Is your physician office a 3-blue ribbon practice? If so, it could soon save you money!

For the fourth year, PrimeCare Physician Associates has received the highest possible rating – three blue ribbons – for quality from the Maine Health Management Coalition (MHMC)’s annual Pathways to Excellence report rating Maine’s best primary care sites.

Why are these ratings important to you? The blue ribbons represent PrimeCare’s excellence in meeting the highest standards of care as measured by the MHMC, a non-profit coalition of employers representing more than 150,000 employees statewide. And insurance companies are taking notice. In some cases, insurers are incentivizing customers to use blue ribbon-rated practices by waiving the office visit co-pay AND THE DEDUCTIBLE for members who receive care from a “preferred” primary care physician. In their announcement the Commission noted that “Primary care practices that are awarded two or three blue ribbons…(such as PrimeCare Physician Associates)…are designated as “preferred practices.”
